Killing Pablo Escobar: The True Story Part 1

Part 2:

Based on the bestselling book by author Mark Bowden, this documentary focuses on the history of Pablo Escobar, the notoriously violent criminal and the efforts of U.S. and Colombian law enforcement to capture him.

Pablo Escobar was a Colombian drug lord and drug trafficker. His cartel, at the height of his career, supplied an estimated 80% of the cocaine smuggled into the United States, turning over US $21.9 billion a year in personal income. Often called “The King of Cocaine”, he was the wealthiest criminal in history, with an estimated known net worth of US $30 billion by the early 1990s (equivalent to about $54 billion today), making him one of the richest men in the world at his prime.

  1. This is why I don't like history class because they make it seem like president was good they don't Kno who killed the president but when they say something about Pablo , John Gotti but you notice that they say that they did this that but yet the government was the one that help them and let them do whatever so government use the CIA to shut them down kill them because there's drugs and money … My opinion .. set ups

  2. I'm sure there is some retaliation planned for those who killed Escobar the man had power equal to that of Al Capone and El Chapo

  3. Well they gun him down through a tap radio, spend so much on tech to track pablo when pablo didnt use much tech, this shows how u just play smart and do your shit. props to don pablo

  4. lol Escobar only got this big because the CIA allowed it.. He most likely had a cia contact… and once he was too big for the CIA to control.. they took em out.. like they ALWAYS do… I bet the CIA had a hand in making this documentary

  5. columbia still fighting ! what for? the control of the trade.the countries fighting the trade only push the profits higher the demand wont stop!!!

  6. dont want to listen to the american story told by americans…. the columbian story only! sorry this documentry is not for me

  7. In all this what they fail to tell you is: U.S.A agencies imported the drugs from Colombia cartel to sell in the U.S.A so as to justify more police, courts, prisons, and all other entities involved. As evidenced by the documentary  getting rid of Pablo did not resolve the problem but, rather, made distribution of drugs into the U.S.A more efficient.

  8. Why didn't he just go when he had the chance. I admire Pablo. Even knowing some of the horrendous stunts he pulled through the years. He knew how to make money. And if that opportunity arose, 90% of us would take that opportunity to better the life of our family. This is what baffles me though, he had it all, and more besides. He could've brought his own island and never be touched. But I guess medellin was his home and he wasn't gonna be forced out. Could've been so much more. RIP Pablo. Never be another one like you.

  9. use to get good weed in 70s, puhleeze this pot now pointless.had opium coca in awesome weed.speed.damn then the government fucker it all up.

  10. thank you You Tube for having History from back when the History Channel showed History. Not now days when The History Channel is just another Reality Show Whore.

  11. at the very start of this documentary,  quote  "Pablo became so big he need`d to die"  in todays word its still the same…..if your a billionaire and you don't pay tax……..whats going to happen?…….government steps in and fucks you up…… terrorists that's what I call them…
